The Seven Nations
Amidst the turmoil of life, seven nations stood the test of time. Their relations are at best rocky and held by the fine thread weaved by potential doomsday prophecies. Shaky alliances plague the political landscape, with the everyday person sick with confusion.
Chromochronos
With Time We Flow
Vibrant, colorful people are the Chro. Masters of time, living amidst the Flux. A curious phenomenon fracturing time and space, it causes sudden appearances or disappearances, looping events and strange occurences.
Appearance
Chro display a stunning array of skin and hair colors, blending seamlessly from one hue to another, creating beautiful gradients. Each Chro is born with intricate glowing tattoos. The patterns of these tattoos are a shared legacy, each one telling the story of past generations and connecting the Chro to their ancestors. They pulsate with energy just before a Flux event occurs, signaling the incoming powerful time and space changes. Each individual is very focused on their appearance and individual expression. Their choice of clothing usually compliments their natural features.
Society
The Chro, believe in the "Time Spiral", a belief that time repeats itself, that one Flux is a repetition of another point in time. They embrace its unpredictability, fostering patience and valuing mistakes as virtues. Their society values rest, comfort, and ease above all else - creating an environment where individuals can feel at peace, free from stress and struggle. They lack a formal government, with every individual acting as a representative, bearing immense responsibility for the nation’s actions. Remarkably, the Chro often display uncanny alignment, especially in official matters. Rejecting currency, they favor bartering, exchanging favors, labor, or goods.
Significant Locations
The Chro are mainly located on the Perpetual Isles surrounding the Three of Cycles. They are a defensive nation with no historical territorial gains.
The Hourglass
The Hourglass is monumental structure, located far from the Chro mainland, that controls the Flux. As the sand within it runs out, it triggers the Flux, causing unpredictable and chaotic shifts in time and space, after which the Hourglass flips over. The Hourglass repels all visitors, permitting entry only to the Chro.
Anomaly
The capital of Chromochronos, a vibrant city where the Flux’s influence is intensely felt. A sprawling city built in concentric layers. Buildings appear and disappear, streets reconfigure, and entire districts transform in the blink of an eye. Despite the seeming chaos, the Chro navigate their capital with ease.
Harbor of Anarchy
A chaotic trade hub where the Flux constantly shifts ships, docks, and markets. Despite the disorder, it thrives as a center of exchange. The cobblestone streets flash and glimmer, signaling the Flux's approach with a mesmerizing display of color.
Colorbay and Dullshore
Twin tree cities with near-identical designs that exchange locales during the Flux.
Timestop
The enormous crystal of Timestop seemingly absorbs the Flux’s energy, glowing with an otherworldly light. Legends say it is a dormant portal that, when unlocked, could grant control over the Flux and reveal its full potential. The few that dare approach, do not return.
Point Chaos
The epicenter of the most extreme Flux events, Point Chaos is a dangerous zone. Time fractures so violently here that reality itself twists, creating bizarre landscapes and impossible structures. Only three houses have been built there, that somehow withstand the Flux and stand as bastions for observers.
Infinite
An island of meditation and study, its here, where the Chro come to attune themselves to the rhythms of the Flux to learn to predict its patterns. The Mirror of Time is located here, allowing contant monitoring of the Hourglass.
Whirlwood
An important island to celebrate, honor and remeber historical Fluxes. The Chro gather here for festivals and celebrations. Its central plaza is surrounded by shimmering, shifting monuments that tell stories of the past, present, and future.
